So, for a Halloween tableau this guy made his yard look for all the world like a plane crash site. I guess all the suicide bomber backdrops were already rented out. We’re told the police visited his home, thinking the crash was real. All I know for sure is, a real 747 in flames could nose-dive straight into his house next week, and nobody would pay any attention, no matter what.Â

[…] I found this Halloween yard display to be a bit…. disturbing. With images of 9-11 and the recent Yankee player plane crash still in our heads, this is a yard display that just shouldn’t ever happen…. no matter what. Come on… put up a tombstone or sheet ghost…. don’t fake a plane crash! I updated my poll over in the sidebar. Finally! I know… I’ve been bad about updating it. I promise I’ll get back to normal with it! […]

The installation includes part of a real Gulfstream jet. Here’s more coverage of it from CBS 8, Yahoo! News and Reuters, as well as some video from YouTube. […]

A Los Angeles plane mechanic has turned his front lawn into a mock airplane crash site for Halloween. It uses real aircraft parts from a Gulfstream. Considering it’s in LA, trick-or-treaters might be unfazed and think he’s running a filming location for “Lost.” […]

I think this is funny, and all it would take is few seconds of contemplation to note that the house is intact after the “plane crash”
