Was it the most dramatic goal ever scored by a goalkeeper? Four minutes into added time in their UEFA Cup tie against Shakhtar Donetsk, holders Sevilla were trailing 4-3 on aggregate and heading out of the competition.
When Sevilla were awarded a last-gasp corner, goalkeeper Andres Palop went forward to make a bit of trouble and, incredibly, headed straight in for the equaliser. Predictably, Sevilla went on to win in extra-time and seal a place in the quarter-finals.
There have been quite a few instances of scoring goalkeepers and wed like to hear from you if youve got a favourite memory.
Most English fans will remember Pat Jennings scoring in the Charity Shield and Peter Schmeichel scoring several, while Jose Luis Chilavert once netted a hat-trick
For sheer drama, though, can anyone beat Palops effort?

- Posted by ElenaChilavert got load of goal but he did take the free kicks and penalties. All the goals in his hat-trick were from the penalty spot. The great thing about Palop was that it was from open play.
