Among the creations shown at Milan’s Fashion Week was this bold version of the traditional… okay, will someone please finish my sentence, because I don’t have a clue what this is.

I mean, don’t you either need sleeves, or you don’t need them? How can you just need one? Is it for some freakish weather pattern where your left side is cold but your right side is warm? Is it for guys who work in toll booths and fast-food windows and just expose one arm?

And by the way. No normal coathanger will hold it, which means you need to carry a special one with you. In the late night chill, when all the other guys have nice jackets, it’s just you, your uni-sleeve, and your own little hanger… But hey, at least you’re fashionable.

psst! Marco! I think you have your jacket on wrong man! And there might be something wrong with your pants, too.

It’s obvious. The shirt also only has one sleeve. Tres Chic!

You could wear it to listen to Ravel’s Bolero - but only the first half.

Also, is he wearing a skirt?

No, Sean…that outfit does not make you look feminine.

Ok, I get it! The jacket is inspired by fencing, the trousers(?) are inspired the samuri, the shirt is ispired by . . . spaggetti westerns, the ensemble is ensipred by lunacy! All he needs is a hat that looks like a 16th century helmet, and he’s good to go!

Does it come with a trained falcon?

Think about the guy who designed it. He’s thinking, “Now let’s see, if it only ha sone sleeve, how will it stay on? I know! I’ll just attach this piece of belt, …”

shouldn’t look that odd to fencers. we wear something similar under our jackets to blunt the force of the blades. it made of Kevlar; i would think that leather wouldn’t be far fetched decades ago.
