Consumers keen to know if the food they’re buying has been grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers have more information available to them than they may realize. The labels you peel off your fruit and vegetables say a lot about how your food was grown — although some does not require certification. Do you look for produce with special labeling, such as USDA Organic, “natural” or “local”?
