The common denominator in Somalia, since the Russians pulled-out is the greatest force for good on earth. After arming everybody worth arming and thoroughly destabilizing the place, America continues to rain goodness on this benighted land. Only now it's using its wealth to hire rental allies to do what it won't do itself - restore its proxies to power.

Somalia is just another poster child for the world effect of that fabled 'great' American century.

When is anyone going to realizet hat until tha people of Samolia want change there will not be any? America first, then Ethiopia, and now Kenya have all failed at restoring law to a lawlell land. if the people of Samlia want the Al- Shabaab gone they will do it. Until then the only way to deal with them is to shut down the border. No one in and no one out.

True liberation coming your way my African family. As born in East Africa, I will summarize this problem in Somali, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya even the big USA and the people is, we think we are separated, we think we exist and we take our self seriously. The truth is funny, I seen it, I had a mystical experience, we are all God, the difference regardless of your country and race is illusion. It only exits because we all been brain washed or miss-educated on purpose or luck of meditation. In deep meditation you will realize you are just a dream of GOD, you don't exist you will soon be a dust, why is that, how can the greatest GOD you are told is responsible of this existence, do this, or allow this? No one is doing this, it is you, you are in charge of your reality, don't be instrument of others nightmare, love yourself, and love others, if they are in a wrong path, like you claim al-shebab are, they are also manifestation of GOD, so reach out and heal them, they are not monsters, they are people like you, I am Eritrean and I seen my share of pain, and I will never inflict that on any human beings, I will reach out to them, they are lost, they might be the kids that grew up in the war torn Somalia, have you thought of that, what type of human would you be in you was born in Somalia, in similar crises, educations, tribal crab, It would take you a long time to realize your humanness and your GODness. We need to wake up and realize it is a matter of luck we are born where we are, Kenya might be stable today maybe 1000 years from now, Somaliz might be, how should the Somalians treat Kenyans suffering in their country, should they heal them or kill them and create more mess. You don't have to fire a gun to get what you want, please use LOVE, you get what you want with no one getting hurt. It might be slow but we are working to wake all Africans and people of the world for better reality. Money is todays evil, creating confusion. When we live with the earth in loving the invisible forces that give us all that we need from the air to the plants, we will see a better day. My kenyan family as you get in to this adventure, remember all human beings are dreams of GOD and you are too, so what kind of dream do you want. WAKE UP!!!

Ali-G:
Its such a shame to have a PHD in Science and yet be that narrow minded. There is no price for the lives lost by soldiers, from Kenya for example, while fighting for the integrity and safety of their homeland. For your information, USD 1000/- does not even match the daily risks a Kenyan soldier takes in Somalia. It should be increased 5fold: That way,in case a soldier is badly wounded/killed (A great likelihood in Somalia), his wife and children still have a future. Use the power of your PHD to understand that as a country, when your people are repeatedly kidnapped and killed by an cowardly aggressor like the one Al Shaabab is, you are naturally inspired to annihilate such an aggressor: USD 1000 a month is just...such a petty issue considering the gravity of the situation at hand. SORRY YOU DON'T MAKE THAT MUCH A MONTH DESPITE YOUR PHD, HAVE YOU TRIED WORKING HARDER? WE ALL KNOW SOMALIS DON'T HAVE SUCH A STRONG WORK ETHIC....Do they even have one at all??

Somalia should be broken up between Kenya and Ethiopia. That would give Ethiopia a coastline. Then Islam should be outlawed in the region.

Ethiopia's action in 2006 helped us to remove current and present danger in our national security. But without the help of AU Ethiopia alone couldn't make any difference. Now again the same group of Terrorist supported by Eritrea impose same treat in our country and also the entire region. The international community should do something more starting form assisting AU,Ethiopia and Kenya missions to dismantle the terrorist network in horn of Africa.

All talk about peace and democracy but what they want in reality is war as long as it is not in their own backyard and love "friendly tyrants" like Meles Zenawi who is willing to sell his land and people.

Somalia's challenge is the existence of a highly fragmented society failure at nation building. This deeply rooted clan base system is exploited by it's so called political leaders. As such peace or nation building's not something some foreign force can restore. it must come from within based on political compromise and a desire to build a Somali nation state.

thanks
