To me, this did not make any sense because a deficit in the pocket is a poor excuse to drive a normal person to abuse his own children. I told the participants that it must be poverty of the mind that leads human beings, who are superior to animals, to actually behave worse than their four-legged counterparts who rarely abuse their young ones!
