Office2office sees new business wins driving H2 growth

BANGALORE, Aug 4 (Reuters) – Office2office expects
its second-half results to be higher than the preceding half on
new business wins, after the office-products supplier won a
37-million-pound contract from the UK government.

The new government contract, which has the potential to
generate about 37 million pounds ($60.7 million) of annual
revenue over four years, is expected to start contributing to
sales from September, Chief Executive Simon Moate told Reuters.

Helmerich posts strong Q3, wins drilling contracts

BANGALORE, July 29 (Reuters) – Helmerich & Payne Inc
posted a market-topping third-quarter profit and forecast a
significant boost to its profit next fiscal as the contract oil
and gas driller’s new contracts become operational amid a North
American drilling boom.

Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Helmerich, which had won contracts for
12 rigs earlier this month, will build 20 more rigs under
multi-year term contracts with four unnamed exploration and
production companies even as oil prices CLc1 stay elevated.

Patterson-UTI, Hercules signal onshore boom heading offshore

BANGALORE, July 28 (Reuters) – Land rig operator
Patterson-UTI Energy Inc and offshore driller Hercules
Offshore Inc posted strong results and pointed towards
a better show going ahead, indicating that the North American
onshore drilling boom is expanding to offshore as well.

The surge in onshore drilling was mainly spurred by a halt
in activity in the Gulf of Mexico following BP Plc’s
Macondo oil spill last year.

Anite sees surging smartphone demand driving 2012 growth

provides testing systems for wireless firms, expects its handset
business to drive profit and revenue this year, as the demand
for smartphones continues to surge, and said it is looking to
expand operations in North America.

Rising demand for smartphones and tablets are fuelling
growth for Anite’s fourth-generation (4G) Long-Term Evolution
(LTE) product, which the company launched in 2009. LTE was
designed primarily to carry data, rather than voice, and offers
download speeds more than double that of 3G.

Micro Focus results in line; outlook disappoints investors

BANGALORE, June 23 (Reuters) – British IT firm and bid
target Micro Focus International posted full-year
results in line with market expectations and gave a weak
outlook, sending its shares down more than 6 percent.

The company, which is currently in offer talks with
potential suitors, expects the current financial year to remain
challenging for the business, with a near-term decline in sales.

Assura sells pharmacy unit to focus on property investments

BANGALORE, June 21 (Reuters) – Assura Group , which
owns and invests in primary care centres across the United
Kingdom, sold its pharmacy business for 39.3 million pounds and
will use a part of the proceeds for future acquisitions and
investments.

Assura has about 60 million pounds ($97.1 million) of
property deals and investments in the pipeline, Chief Executive
Nigel Rawlings told Reuters.

Hardy Oil sees higher 2012 output

BANGALORE, May 26 (Reuters) – British oil explorer Hardy Oil
and Gas expects its 2012 production to increase, and
peak at double this year’s levels, after it expands drilling at
its block off the eastern coast of India, top executives said.

Hardy, an India-focused explorer which recently sold its
Nigerian assets, expects its profit this year to remain flat as
the company will not bring any new wells on stream for
production, Finance Director Dinesh Dattani told Reuters.

Big Yellow sees slow recovery in muted housing market

BANGALORE, May 24 (Reuters) – UK self-storage company Big
Yellow Group Plc said a recovery in the sector was
unlikely until the economy improves, bringing its shares down 3
percent.

Some analysts fear that high unemployment, negative real
income growth, high debt levels and difficulties in obtaining
credit will continue to weigh on the housing market that will
hit house movers, who are storage companies’ biggest customers.
