I'm a blogger and write on finance and I mention peer to peer lending and make it clear that I have invested in it - full disclosure. I don't mention any other investments; I wouldn't promote anything without being totally honesty. I think promoting companies you have invested in is a little dishonest anyway and so it's better most of the time not to mention them. I also try to stay away from companies that I have had bad experiences with and try not to mention them. I make an exception for Microsoft though!
