Should Clinton drop out of the Democratic race?

Democratic presidential candidate Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) with daughter Chelsea (L) and husband former President Bill Clinton (C) speaks to supporters at her North Carolina and Indiana primary election night rally in Indianapolis, Indiana, May 6, 2008.

The road just got rockier for Hillary Clinton in her battle to win her party’s presidential nomination after Barack Obama’s victory in North Carolina and her slim win in Indiana.

“It’s full speed on to the White House,” Clinton said at a victory rally in Indianapolis, with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, standing behind her. “We’ve got a long road ahead, but we’re going to keep fighting.”

But Clinton made some conciliatory noises. “I can assure you as I have said on many occasions, that no matter what happens, I will work for the nominee of the Democratic Party … and I know that Senator Obama feels the same way,” she said.

Should Clinton drop out of the race for the Democratic nomination?

Yes, Hiliary should back down and be gracious. She is destroying the Democratic Party and ensuring McCain a spot in the Whitehouse. I know it must be hard for her…but the needs of the many, out way the needs of the one! Get it, Hiliary!

If Hillary won’t quit - the voters need to do it for her…send her home next Tuesday. She and Bill have had their chance at the White House for 8 years. If they feel they are the only ones that can run this country - then we don’t need them. Change is what this election is all about…Obama in 2008 and 2012…and no she does not need to be on the ticket as VP. She will undermine Obama at every opportunity. Chelsea needs to go back to her cushy elite job and not even think about running for anything.

QUOTE “I also will not vote for anyone who supports Obama if they are not smart enough to see him for what he is they shouldn’t be in public office. Go Hillary.

Dont sweat it Barbara, Barrack can and will win without your vote.

People with your mentality are on the verge of extinction. My advice is to get with the program or you will live the rest of your life grumpy.

Everyone who thinks she should drop out should change the rules for 4 years from now - -The rules are there for a reason , and she and her campaign is the reason ..

Obama has as much experience as Lincoln. Learn a little history.

Learn some history Sam?

Lincoln served 6 years in the senate.

It would seem that ’tis you who is lacking in historical knowledge.

So Jim,

Let me get this right. You admit, I wont find any credible sources that say BO gets his money from big oil Corporations. You even admit I wont find it on google. But you want me to believe this statement is true just because you say so? Give me a break.

Like I said, if you dont like BO and prefer Clinton or McCain FOR WHATEVER REASON that is fine. But you ought to be ashamed of yourself to be slandering and defaming some one without one shred of evidence to support your position. This is how false rumours get started. It is also exactly why 20% of Americans still believe BO is muslim.

I am not picking a quarrel with you. I am just challenging you to be respectful to everyone you meet in life even those you dont like. Speculating and spreading unsubstatiated defamatory information about anyone is just plain rude and disrespectful.

Have a wonderful day!

Obama is a phoney and not quilified to run the country. Put Clinton in and get rid of him and we won’t have another four years of Bush. I won’t vote for Obama if I have to not vote at all. I also will not vote for anyone who supports Obama if they are not smart enough to see him for what he is they shouldn’t be in public office. Go Hillary.

Go OBAMA …GO OBAMA

Hillary will not leave this race until she has recovered her loans. Then and only then will she opt out. I don’t understand how she can ask supporters to donate to her campaign when she isn’t willing herself. Do we know what the terms of these loans are. Had I sent her a check I’d be asking for it back and tell her it was just a loan. There’s something wrong with this hole loan picture.

Time for wholesale changes in the Democratic party. From Pelosi to Dean especially. Neither have done their jobs to create unity or comprise for the benifit of the whole.

It annoys me to see such a small person, all-round, to actually beleive they are big enough and honest enough to be president.

I suggest Hilary stands down and stops making a fool of herself.

Her prescence in the race for president is now quite pointless, annoying, devisive, destructive, polarising and ultimately damaging to herself.

Now Obama won’t even consider her for vice: after her vicous campaign I toally agree with him.

Let the racists have their day - but for Hilary the party is over!

It is just mean spirited for hilary to stay in the race now - only giving fodder to the republicans for the fall, and preventing obama from starting the very important campaign to beat mccain. I have lost so much respect for her and how nasty she has been, and I am one of those “white, female, older, working class roots” voter she touts as her own - not so. She offers nothing new and after the way she has run her campaign, I trust her even less.

Very good point Jose Sandoval!!

If we change the rule this time, why even have a rule? We can always find a reason to justify changing the rule. Our country’s success and dominance can at least in part be attributed to the fact that we are a country of laws and rules.

To allow anyone to change the rules after the fact to suit them, undermines our demcracy.

I agree with Jose, Fl. and MI. new the rules going in. Senator Obama followed the rules also by not spending any nmmoney and did not campaign unlike Hillary so it’s only natural she won under those circumstances but in fact had they both campaigned all out who knows what would have been the result. You just can’t count them because she needs the support. But she doesn’t like to follow th erules if they don’t suit her. It would be wrong. Put the shoe on the other foot and she would be totally against it too. She has lost but won’t admit defeat until she can con enough people out of some more money so she can be paid back. If her campaign was in that much trouble she should have quit long ago or called it a donation like all the other people did that made contributions. Can I call my contribution a loan? i don’t think so, how much interest will she make on this deal? It’s time for her to go before she looses any more credibility.

The honorable thing for Clinton to do is to drop out. At least she still got some honor left to preserve.

She is just getting warm, wait till she sets fire to Denver or riot in the streets to get the nod.

If your state broke your party’s rules and held their primaries early in violation of party rules and you were told beforehand your delegates would be void and still CHOSE to hold your primaries early , then you should be held to that decision and it’s consequences. Hillary, drop out now, Save Face!

I actually was a HC fan when this race started. The tactics that she has employed has raised some questions in my mind about her character. In either case, I will still view her as an outstanding American and I am glad that she has contributed to the process.

however its time for her to leave. This eleciton and nomination is much bigger than her or her ego. She should realize that there is too much is at stake.
