- Posted by Sony Vaio not for the price-conscious - Sony CEO - Reuters NewsblogsI am a christian and I feel very sorry for all of you that are promoting this movie. You all may be smiling now, but one day all will have to stand before God on judgement day. As the bible says “Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”. It is appointed once unto man to die and then there is judgement.” If people would just read the bible they would know the truth. Not only that when you get saved and invite Jesus in your heart Gods spirit reveals the truth to you. His spirit bears witness with your spirit, and you know your his child. The holy spirit reveals all truth. If you have never experienced this you won’t know the truth and you are serving satan himself. Satan is blinding you from the truth with these false doctrines. Jesus never did have a baby either. Jesus had to be without sin in order to die on the cross and to take our sin on himself. He was spotless and without sin. This is truth. Jesus was God in the flesh, an exact representation and the very character of God himself. God is without sin, he is perfect. What are you going to believe? In the lies of Satan? If you do you will be doomed for eternity. God doesn’t want this. He doesn’t want anyone to perish. That’s why he sent his son to die on the cross. We don’t deserve it, but he loved us that much. By his grace we are saved if we put our faith and trust in the blood payment that he made on our behalf.
- Posted by SherryI read ‘The da Vinci Code.’ Interesting in the beginning, outrageous up to the end of the first half, and boring along the second half. I had admired both Ron Howard and Tom Hanks during the past 16 years for their wonderful movies which inspired me about some noble facts of life. What a unpleasant surprise: Both artists are now together promoting this book that trashes the magnificent story behind my Christian faith. Right now I see Ron Horward and Tom Hanks at the same low level as the mediocre Mr. Dan Brown. Very sad. I will not watch this movie, and I sincerely hope the movie performs poorly at the box office.
- Posted by EduardoTom Hanks has just signed for the part of Judas in Ron Howards remake of the Last Supper
- Posted by mike mcmahonI just wanted to forward this to Tom Hanks and Ron Howard. I am so very disappointed in them both. I have watched almost everything Tom Hanks has ever done, and enjoyed it, and Ron Howard, I loved him.. watched him ever since I was little. However, I doubt now that I will ever want to watch anything either one stars in or produces… How can they close their eyes and go to sleep at night when they are doing this to “my Lord Jesus Christ”. I will pray for you both daily.
- Posted by Anita StoneI have also grew up watching Tom Hanks on the screen most of my life. Thinking he was awesome. Until now! I would of never guessed him to be this naive and fall to the hands of destruction of Satan. I guess that is where fame and fortune get you, no where. No where but on this earth, where he will stay for all eternity. How sad!
But in his demise (acting career) he probably never guessed that he was being pulled away from the hand of God. But to profess his ignorance to all before God. I think I could of made it easier for him by giving him a rope.
- Posted by B ClarksonI just wanted to say that I agree with Anita Stone. I got on this page trying to find a way to contact Hanks and Howard. I have always admired both of them and loved their work. I am extremely disappointed in them for doing this. Surely they have enough money by now that they don’t have to prostitute themselves this way.
- Posted by D. PooleHow disappointing it is to see two of our great actors fall to such evil in producing/acting in this movie. As Sherry said above every knee will bow and we will all be accountable for how we lived on this earth. I feel sorry for anyone who has had any part in this movie. The Lord will be judging you upon hia glorious coming so I pray that you will repent of this dispicable sin and start living the way Christ wants you to live!
As Christians our family will not support this movie nor the book ever. Unfortunatly many people will want to “see” what the movie is really like and that just adds to the popularity of the movie. I pray that the movie will be a flop and disaster from the beginning.
I am pleading with everyone especially Christians to not support this movie in any way. If you want to know the “real” story about Christ read the Holy Bible. It will lead you down the path that leads to eternal life in Heaven and not to destruction in Hell.
- Posted by KathyCome on people! It is JUST a fictional movie, no wonder all the publicity… People will beleive what they want to. I (a christian) have researched some of this, and the Historical FACTUAL parts of it are interesting. If people have faith (and a brain), they will still have faith!
- Posted by L. HallSounds like the churchs and it people are giving the movie the publicity. . .
- Posted by L. HallIf you are true to your faith, a movie shouldn’t be all it takes to get anyone to start questioning their religion. If a book or movie will shake your ground, I’d shudder to think what Satan would do to you.
- Posted by HelenCome on L. Hall! Mr Brown claims that the contents of “The Da Vinci Code” is based records that he obtained through extensive research. His novel draws “heavily on the sacred feminine…” and his editor truly understands “what this book is all about…” Reread the “acknowledgments” in the book: Mr Brown has an agenda. Maybe he just wrote a polemic book that would generate a lot of publicity and a lot of money; or he could be pinpointing the sacred feminine; or he is just letting his wild imagination to run free. Who knows? I have my guess. I strongly support the answers the church is giving on this matter: They have to say something after all! The media is responsible for all the publicity. By the way, I also fell comfortable in my faith.
Helen, Talking about Satan, Did somebody tell you that Satan is not involved yet? I have learned since my early days in the church that Satan would always be working to deceive us, to separate us from God. This book and this movie might not be affecting you, but they are certainly affecting a lot of other people.
- Posted by EduardoNo more open minded people left?
- Posted by SergeyThat’s right: if a one movie ca shutter your faith, then it aint very strong, is it?
I liked the movie, and you know what, I dont see how or why the faith should shutter even if Jesus had kids.
A film is made to either educate or entertain. As obvious as it seems, I still hope this film was not made to educate people about a different path My Lord Jesus Christ took - because it’s false. READ THE BIBLE - there is no word. If the film was made to entertain…..how entertaining would you find it to see the most important force in your life fictionilized? Why take the very core of good in our lives, the very hope of eternal life and do what this film has done to it? One answer - the work of the antiChrist. “I WOULD RATHER LIVE MY LIFE WITH JESUS AS MY SAVIOR AND LIVE AN ETERNAL LIFE WITH HIM THAN LIVE MY LIFE AS IF THERE IS NO JESUS AND SUFFER THE ETERNAL DEATH AND DARKNESS” Why would you do this, Mr. Hanks and Mr. Howard? You are in my prayers
- Posted by LeslieWell, “The Da Vinci Code made millions at the box office and did even better in the Europe. What does this mean? I’m not sure, except many are curious. Once the movie was out, some Christians encouraged others to see it and speak intelligently and clearly about why the movie is wrong. I’ll admit, I haven’t read the book or seen the movie. I will say though, I have read up on it and have asked many questions and seen previews (that was enough for me). We did have a copy of the book and no one thought it was worth reading because it was so bizarre and very far from the truth. I’m shocked that Tom Hanks decided to do this movie, I have read on the net that he was once a Christian and went to bible studies. Interesting, isn’t it, that two of the most trusted actors in the movie industry would both be involved with this misleading movie? We are living in some interesting times, some say the end and I say we are in a battle every moment and every second. Stay strong, keep the faith and run the race!!!
