When you’re a hot movie star, there is going to be some pretty awful gossip about you - about your marriage, your sex life, your personal vices… But few stars have to endure rumors as ugly as the new ones about Salma Hayek: they say she has a hundred million dollars. Will those sleaze-mongers stop at nothing? And you know what this sort of thing leads to? Calls from that Gates Foundation!
It’s a huge lie. It’s very, very far from reality. I don’t have that amount of money, Hayek told Reuters, after reading an article in Mexican daily El Universal about a list of Latino millionaires in the United States. Here’s the story:

Methinks she doth protest too much . . . I love the part in the story where she stops the interview to scoop a drowning rat out of her swimming pool. Nice touch.
