CNN.com to replay 9/11 broadcast

Like many New Yorkers spellbound by the plumes of smoke puffing out of the Twin Towers that morning, I had wondered why one, and then the other were on fire. Then I hopped on the subway to make it to work.

I didn’t know what was going on at the time — until I saw it on CNN.

On Sept. 11 this year, CNN’s broadband subscription video service CNN Pipeline will go free and replay its broadcast from that day beginning at 8:30 a.m. EDT through midnight, in real time.

Pipeline will also feature live reports from memorial services in New YorkRTRML5Z.jpg City, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania. Hundreds of hours of archived video will be available.

In deference to Pipeline watchers, who would rather not relive the day, those who are interested will need to click on Pipe 4 to watch the archived coverage.

Of note is also CNN.com’s special section debuting on Sept. 6 about how life has changed in the U.S. after the devastating day.

Americans have short memories and need to reminded that we are in fact “at war”. The perpetrators of the 9/11 war crimes have not forgotten about the war.

In order to keep the American public in line, it is important to reinforce the paranoia created by 9/11. Major news outlets can assist by replaying the events of September 11th and just like the constant “Our armies are advancing against the enemy” in George Orwell’s 1984, President Bush can exclaim “We are advancing against bin Laden…no, against Saddam…er, Iran, Sudan, China, Syria, Canada, Seattle, Venezuela, South Africa, Blue States….” Whatever sells papers.

People Cheering? Oh yes, the footage that was played an hour after the buidlings came down. Yes, that footage that CNN finally admitted was actually previous footage from two years before that had nothing to do with 9/11. Hmmm. interesting how they had that handy to BURN into the psyche of Americans the day of 9/11. Funny how they have “gently” admitted that it was false. Hmmm. Maybe we all need to take a really good look at what REALLY happened that day.
