The Diet of Worms
Okay, if you’re not into 16th century topical religious references, let’s just move right along to the contents of this newsphoto. You’re seeing mopani worms, served at a restaurant in South Africa. Our story says they’re an acquired taste. Ya think?

Yuck! Undercooked corn!
I had some mopani worms. saw them at the buffet, dried in a bowl. I ate five and they tasted like raw peanuts. I went back to my table bragging that I ate some and they told me those were the ones that hadn’t been cooked.
I returned to the buffet and ate some more cooked worms. they were bitter. a little lemon butter would have helped. I liked the raw ones better.
