Who’s the richest character? Rhymes with Starbucks…

Santa Claus has lost the top slot on Forbes magazines’ list of the 15 richest fictional characters, due to a minor technicality: lots and lots of people don’t consider him fictional. 

That’s good news for Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, from Little Orphan Annie, who moves into the top slot, helped along by his revenues from the war in Iraq. 

Second place goes to Montgomery Burns, owner of the Springfield nuclear power plant in The Simpsons, and Scrooge McDuck comes in third. Here is the forbes.com story: warbucks.jpg
