We see it more and more: people warning us not to do things that we would never do in a million years.
We get a luggage cart at the airport, and a droning announcement tells us not to take the thing on the escalator. I suppose it’s a result of our litigious society. We feel the need to anticipate every stupid thing, and warn against it, just to cover our backs.
Which brings us to the annual Wacky Warning Label Contest, which offers prizes for the worst of these warnings. This year’s winner is a warning on a washing machine: “Do not put any person in this washer.” Here are the winners:
