The reward for Palop’s heroics is a quarter-final for Sevilla against Tottenham Hotspur, following the draw in Glasgow on Friday.
The three Spanish teams have been kept apart, while Werder Bremen, one of two German teams still involved, will be happy to have drawn Dutch outsiders AZ Alkmaar, having already seen off Ajax earlier in the competition.

The UEFA Cup finally looks to have come alive. Sevilla are desperate to win it again and the other two Spanish teams would love some European success given they can´t win anything else this season.
But the most surprising goal of the Sevilla game wasn´t Palop´s header it was Metuzalem´s scorpion kick. Did anyone see it
- Posted by María GonzálezSpurs made by far the most effective striker signing this season in the shape of Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov. ~£10 million I think. It will be interesting to see how he plays against a top Spanish side.
Don’t be surprised to see Berbatov moving to a blue chip club in the Summer. Maybe to Liverpool in with Kuyt (who Jol tried to sign) or Crouch or both going the other way.
- Posted by JimSevilla can not keep this way to much. Maybe the next game will show something, but in the end, the english team will survive from this match, Sevilla - Tottenham. The temperature will be higher on these matches, not so cold as it was at Kiev.
