The wrong results…

New type of drug helpful in type 2 diabetes

Patients in the anakinra group achieved an A1C level - an indicator of long term glucose control — that was 46 percent lower than that of patients given the placebo.

This is incorrect. The abstract of the NEJM article says … “0.46 percentage point lower…” That means about half a percentage point, rather than 46 percentage points. This is a significant error, and is highly misleading.
