Trembling Spector, shrunken shadow of former genius
Celebrated by the music industry as one of the greatest artists of all time for producing classics such as The Righteous Brothers “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” and The Beatles “Abbey Road” album, the reclusive Spector remains an enigma to the general public.
Your story credits Spector with producing the Beatles album “Abbey Road.” This is not true. “Abbey Road” was produced by George Martin. Phil Spector produced only one Beatles album and it was “Let It Be.” Where is the fact checking? This lack of credibility is very disappointing.

Spector didn’t really produce “Let it Be” either he *mixed* it adding some unwelcome strings to “The Long and Winding Road” and other tracks but the album was recorded without either he or George Martin. He did produce some solo Lennon, notably the album “Rock and Roll” but did not “produce” any Beatles album at all.
- Posted by FrancoSpector produced ‘Let it Be’ - not Abbey Road. 9If you can call the cheesy strings on ‘Long and Winding Road’ producing!)
