Its been a lively year to say the least for Andrew Liveris, Dow Chemicals CEO. Hes read in the press about private equity suitors planning to take over his company, which sparked volatile trading in Dow, one of the worlds largest chemicals companies. An investigation into where those rumors may have come from led him to fire two senior executives for conversations with bankers from JPMorgan about a deal the contents of which are under dispute in a series of lawsuits that has dragged him as well as JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon to the center of the spat. Regulators are involved in the matter now, too.
So what does he take away from the rocky experience? Click here to listen to his response, given at the Reuters Global Energy Summit in New York. To read more stories from the event please click here.
