Hello Peter,

I just read your news report concerning (relative)peace returning to western Iraq. I also found your blog here relating to Afghanistan. I commend you for putting your heart and full energy into your work.
Your reporting is informed, honest and balanced. It's obvious that you are not sitting in an air-conditioned bar conjuring up reports based on preconceived notions and biases. How I wish many of our less motivated reporters here in the U.S. were more like you.
Please keep up the good work. May you find peaceful mountain valleys, good friends and tender roast goat for years to come.

Regards,

Dennis

P.S. If you ever want some fresh salmon to supplement your roast goat diet come over for a visit to our little island home here in the northwest U.S..
