We’re told in the caption that this thing from fashion week in Brazil is a creation from the 2008 collection.
My question is, isn’t it kind of risky for these guys to show it to us now? What’s to keep me and my friends from taking off our shirts, buckling a big belt over our navels, and getting a huge jump on this trend? If that happens, this fashion house will put its big new “Belly Button Belt” on sale next spring, and all of us who got there first will be saying, “Oh, those things are so totally out of style!”
The thing is, I don’t want to do this alone. So guys, this weekend, we’re all going to go out like this - to restaurants, church, whatever - and if anybody questions it, you just tip your white hat, and tell them this is what they wear in Brazil. On Monday, tell me how it went.

White hat. Good guy. Check.
- Posted by Shawn HendricksWhat’s a washboard stomach good for? For one thing, it doesn’t stand up well to bleach. For another, there’s no wringer. I say, leave well enough alone.

- Posted by Shawn HendricksSure, Hastings is a ‘belt and suspenders’ kind of guy. Problem is, the concepts of both ‘belt’ and ’suspenders’ completely eludes him.
