The long wait for Chancellor Gordon Brown is finally over as he emerged from the shadow of friend and rival Tony Blair to become prime minister.
After 10 years at the Treasury, Brown entered number 10 Downing Street promising change.
“This will be a new government with new priorities,” he said, as he hopes to guide the Labour Party to a fourth consecutive general election win.
He pinpointed the health service, schools and more affordable housing as areas where Britons want to see change, as well as a return of trust in government.
What do you think his priorities should be, and what would you like to see him do? Do you think he will succeed in bringing change?

Health service, schools and affordable housing should be primary concerns for any government. National security should be a top priority given recent events and finishing up in Iraq should be his next set of priorities. Stronger ecomomic ties with developing Eastern Euro countries would create some much needed growth opportunities for the economy.
