We frequently have photos of gala movie premieres where Hollywood’s biggest stars show up to promote their new movies, but I have to say, as premiere VIP sections go, this one is hard to beat.
Here we have a statue of Mazu, the Chinese Goddess of the Sea, sitting with a Coke and a bag of popcorn, waiting for the new movie “Mazu” to begin. In all, 23 goddess statues were invited to the event, and while we probably toss around the phrase screen goddess too much, it seems to be appropriate here.
