CAIRO (Reuters) - A German has handed in a package containing part of a Pharaonic carving to Egypt’s embassy in Berlin, with a note saying his stepfather had suffered a “curse of the Pharaohs” for stealing it, Egypt said Wednesday.
That would be Dr. Jones, not Mr Jones. Someone was not paying attention during the movie

So …that’s the main objection to this headline?
- Posted by John C AbellMy understanding of title usage has always been that “Mister” is the default style for men. So regardless of what other earned titles a person may have it is never incorrect to address him by the honorific “Mister”, in just the way that people in a earlier generation routinely put a comma and “Esquire” after the name of a male addressee. By that reasoning you can hardly cavil with this headline. Many of these customs are dropping away today, and that is not a bad thing. For instance, no one would have objected if the title had said simply ‘Paging Indiana Jones’. The real question in this discussion, of course, is should be paying so much attention to a fictional character?
