Carmakers turn “green” but is it a smokescreen?

lamb-200.jpgFRANKFURT (Reuters) - What price exclusivity? If you ask Lamborghini, one million euros ($1.4 million) should do it — before tax, of course.

With the six-figure price tag, it is the most expensive car that it has ever built.

Regarding the Lamborghini article, $1,400,000 is a 7-figure price, not a 6-figure price. See, what you do is count the numbers. We have a 1, a 4 and 5 zeros. That’s 7 figures - not 6.

A number of readers noticed that. Presumably they were briefly elated at thinking they could afford a Lamborghini if it was only six figures. We corrected: GBU Editor

One comment so far

Well, they go for one million euros, but I bet if you were a fast talker you could get them down to 999,999 euros - six figures.

Also Reason No. 462 why it would be cool to be an Italian police officer - Lamborghini donated a number of Gallardos to the Italian police force for highway patrol purposes. Imagine getting paid to drive a Lamborghini around the mountains of Campania.
