Reagan’s first wife, actress Jane Wyman, dead
I can’t believe you put Ronald Reagan’s name first in your headline. The actress had a full career and won an Academy Award, yet you began with the name of a man who hadn’t been her husband for more than half a century, and who for that matter hasn’t been President for nearly 20 years.

Several readers pointed this out. It was not a great headline. Reagan’s name shouldn’t have been before Wyman’s, and maybe not in the headline at all: GBU Editor

There was a time when Jane ‘autographed’ Ronnie’s pictures that were sent out to those persons that wanted an autographed photo of him in her own handwriting.

The point behind most of these blogs is that Reuters can poke fun at their own mistakes. The title simply points out that they understand. Putting Reagan before Jane made it seem like Reagan was the main part of the story, not “this other woman.”
