Drone! Drone! Drone!

January 29, 2007

The San Francisco Chronicle reminds us why we use the Internet.

The Chronicle, as The New York Times reported in its Monday edition, has started playing selected reader voicemail feedback on its Web site. The section is called “Correct Me If I’m Wrong.”

Listen as one apparently angry caller informs the Chronicle its error in referring to an unmanned civilian aircraft. A sample: “Pilotless airplane! Pilotless airplane! … Drone! Drone! Drone! Don’t you get it?”

Here’s the message. It demands repeated listening. It’s already been sampled in a on YouTube, not to mention a ringtone.  Engadget is busy taking this topic apart as well.

In this separate file, a different caller attempts to set the record straight. It’s nearly as priceless.
