If you don’t Havidol, you’ll want to get it soon…

February 16, 2007

Does life seem better when you have more than others? Do you sometimes feel empty after a full day of shopping? Ask your doctor if you may have Dysphoric Social Attention Consumption Deficit Anxiety Disorder (DSACDAD).******Welcome to satire done right in the multimedia age, where the disorder of the month and its companion drug are the stuff of way too many TV commercials. Now, a mock ad campaign for a drug called Havidol – “when more is not enough” – is being taken seriously beyond the creator’s dreams.******You can go to the Havidol Website and take a quiz to see if you may be suffering from DSACDAD, but you probably are, since the site informs us that more than 50 percent of people over 18 have the disorder. Avoid reading the pill’s side effects, which will just bum you out.******Meanwhile the campaign has made its way to a New York City art gallery. Lindsay Claiborn reports:******havidol.jpg***
