“I’ll debate you right upside the head!”
Blog Guy, I’m a political science student. Do you have any good video of the legislative process at work in other countries?
You bet. Here is a great clip of Taiwanese politicians beating the poop out of each other, throwing books and water, and brawling.
Cool. What were they debating?
Electoral reform.
Do they always throw books and water during their debates?
Nah, when they’re really mad they throw shoes and lunchboxes. Here’s the video and here is the story:

I think American politics should be more like this. Of course Arnold Swarzenegger (however you spell it) and Jesse Ventura would just kick everyone’s butts.
i hope spitzer has been doing his pushups. come on you girly man! powaa!! get to the choppa spitzaa!!
Tawain’s version of CSPAN admittedly gets better ratings than the British version, where most of the day the cameras are fixed on British politicians arguing,
“I know you are but what am I”
“I know YOU are but what am I?”
“Good sir, I know you are, but what am I?”
“I’m quite sure that I’m rubber and you’re glue, and whatever drivel you spew bounces off of me and sticks to you.”
