Harry Potter won't die.

My belief is that the real 'hero' of the final book is Hagrid, I think he will bite the wand in sacrificing himself for Harry.

he was there from the beginning protecting Harry. He is capable of a lot more than people expect, as has been seen in previous books and he was with Dumbledore throughout.

So, its Hagrid, Voldemort and Snape who perish.

Methinks.

My theories:
It really shouldn't even be a question on people's minds whether Harry will die. This is a children's book, first and foremost, for children who identify with the protagonist. Rowling is not going to kill the sole character in whom her young readers have invested such hope. That's my opinion. Also, Harry is a h----, or his scar is. You know what I mean. Part of Harry will die--the part that is Voldemort. Harry will live--unextraordinary, without parseltongue or any other power Voldemort gave him when he tried to kill him. He will be just another ordinary kid, with few real special talents, who saved the world. That is the lesson kids will take away from the story--the ordinary can do extraordinary things. That's what I'm hoping, anyway! (-; (Also, if someone is going to rise from the dead, it will be the phoenix, aka Dumbledore.)

Ross Wilson: Why must you be such a muggle? Just because you can't find your way to Platform 9.75... Silly muggle. Tricks are for kids-at-heart.

If you want to know how the series ends: Solve Et Coagula.

It's as much a parralell of Jesus as it is of Quetzalcoatl, Horus, Mithras, Superman, or any other Boy Who Lived? Am I being vague? Read Hans Andréa's comments again.

As my brothers would say, "Mischief Managed!"

I think Harry has overstayed his welcome in British cinemas for a while now. The new movie is just over-kill. The novels are rubbish, the films are even worse and the franchise from it is absolutely rediculous.

Harry Potter gets some people to read. That's good. No one complains that Steven King wrote too many novels.
Book are fun. If you can't have fun reading Harry, you don't have a good imagination.
And yes, Harry has to die, that would be a perfect ending. Dies to save the world.

Howdy y'all. My heart sure would be broken in two easy pieces if Harry were to perish. Down in the south, we all wish for more wizards and do-gooders as We have had enough of the evil-doers and deciders who run this country. We need Harry to light our way and light the countryside so that no more people get shot in the face by our brave and greatly skilled hunter, VP Cheney.

I have basically live off the Harry Potter books. I started reading them when I was about 6 or 7 and have been reading them for over 4 years now. That should give you a clue about my age. But just because I have been reading them for four years, it does not mean that I took that long to read them. I simply read them over and over. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and although I have read the books over and over, I still find them as magical and exciting as the last time I stayed up all night reading in the dark.
It is July the fifth and it seems like FOREVER until the 21st which is when the new book will come out. But it's really only 16 days! I really cannot wait but the only sad thing is, I will be at school when it comes out!
So now, to the point.
I read in a magazine that JK Rowling said that two of the main characters will die in the last book. She also admitted Harry could be one of them. She quotes 'I have to say, two die that I didn't intend to die.'
All my friends and myself have slightly different opinions on which two characters these will be. This may be, but we all agree on one thing.
Voldemort must go.
It's sort of obvious that Harry will die, as why else would you stop bothering to write the series? Ummm, hello? reality check? You don't just stop the series because the bad guy dies. You stop it because the main character dies! I mean, wouldn't it suck if the last paragraph was something like, 'And Harry knew, that there could be peace in the world, peace of the kind where wizards could be free to leave their houses without having to worry about the dark lord. And it was all thanks to him.'
I mean, BORING!
The harry potter books are written with a high level of class which shows how wonderful the writer is.
I will definatly cry my heart out at the end, for two reasons:
1. It is the end of an era- no more looking forward to Potter books.Oh well, at least i will still have the movies.
and 2: I know its gonna be Harry that dies.
These books took me on adventures, made me laugh, made me ry, and made me stay up all night reading. I know I speak for many people when I say, They have been the greatest thing since sliced Bread.
The guy who wrote all that stuff about alcchemy and whatever is sort of weird. don't bother reading all his stuff.
Thanks for reading my comment.
Sorry I wasted, like, ten minutes of your life with my endless drivel. No, wait, make that eleven minutes. I have one more thing to say:
HARRY POTTER ROX MY SOX!
