Harry Potter: worth the wait?

July 20, 2007

The waiting is finally over for the millions of Harry Potter fans eager to get their hands on the seventh and final book in the series about the schoolboy wizard. Many readers queued for hours outside shops in towns and cities around the world so they could be among the first to read “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”.

Its publication ended months of speculation about the fate of Potter and his rival, Lord Voldemort, and his Hogwarts chums. Author J.K. Rowling had warned that at least two main characters would die and admitted she had sobbed her heart out when she neared the end of writing the book.

For those who have bought a copy, couldn’t put it down and have already hurtled through its 608 pages: do you think the ending was the right outcome? What did you think of the book?
For those who do not want to know the ending, we suggest you look away now!
