It's not surprising, I suppose. Having been a member of EBay since December 4, 1998 (with a feedback rating of +337/0/0) I've seen the platform grow and grow. As I understand, Pierre Omayyad set up a website to enable his wife to trade Pez candy dispensers and it took off from there. Now he's wealthy beyond belief. It's a great story.
