This is the thing that brings angst to the picture. Teachers accrue a financial burden when acquiring a degree and wish that the simple need to cover the risk is not taken away from them by an unscrupulous or just fickle principal.

Also the emphasis seems to be the guarantee to the worst performers. There exist the worst performers in any occupation and let’s say they can not be fired only in teaching. I contend 5% deserve to be fired. If 100% know they can’t be fired, then why isn’t the profession being credited for the 95% who perform virtuously despite the non-firing guarantee? It’s about time we turn the athlete love into a thankful one to the profession many use as babysitters.
