Tesla deserves the plaudits but its narrow market focus makes them so much easier to attain. The gains that GM, Ford, and Chrysler have made in the past couple of years are noteworthy, especially when one considers their broader market appeal. Most people on the planet don't really give a hoot about cars that start at 50k. This article is very misleading in its premise.
