These spectacular pictures of the fireworks during Wednesday’s rehearsal for the August 8 Olympic opening ceremony hint that it might fulfill the huge expectations the Chinese people have for it.

It seems a bit crazy to have fireworks, when the smog watch readings in beijing are such a worry still for the Olympics. eventhough i know it China is the birthplace of fireworks…but it is meant to be a ‘green olympics’ isn’t it? algael green not withstanding.
