He could have powered through and clocked 9.5s or less and achieved possibly a record that would stand for at least 20yrs. Instead he slowed down and celebrated, getting only temporary glory. Since this is a football blog, the equivalent of that is a footballer refusing to score into an open goal to grab his hat-trick in a world cup final and instead passing to someone in the far corner.
