They knew! And if they did as they were supposed to do the house of cards would collapse quickly and terribly. So, to allow for posturing and blame ducking the gatekeepers intimated to the very few of the impending collapse. Honesty and forthrightness are in damn short supply with these “financial wizards!”

Of coutse the gate keepers should be punished , But where do you draw the line ? fany and fredy are goverment banks , other banks also have government guarantees . This stuff has to be good or the government defualts . That means a new government. By bailing out some banks the government increased the exposure for even more defualts . we can not have deflation , but with only 2 % of the houses for sale in one california city , being valued low enough for the average income family to make the payments . Something has to give . No matter how hard you squeese blood will not drip out of a turnip . Living in a tent with food is a lot more pleasant than living in a house with nothing to eat .
