I don’t know…I have to see that for myself.
Perhaps someone will pay me a ticket to give a personal account of the casinos. And I can’t do that without a starting amount of $100,000 because, I’ve heard, the food there is better than Panda Express.

Yes, I think she has confused the Grand Lisboa with the Lisboa – a completely different and much older casino. Also Wynn does very little conference business, it is too small and does not target that market. The Venetian is the casino/hotel which mostly targets conference and MICE business.

Also the sentence “Macau is also suffering from overcapacity in China, where there are about 30 casinos of varying sizes.” makes no sense. THere are no casinos in China except in Macau. I think she means that MACAU is suffering from over capacity. But just to look at the number of casinos is meaningless, Macau casinos can have anywhere from 10 to 500 tables.

Agree on the higher ceiling part. Maybe because I am a non-smoker so not fond of smokers havens.

Wei Gu is out of her element writing this “blog”. Grand Lisboa is Not dimly lit and Not smoke-filled. If anything, Grand Lisboa has better lighting and higher ceilings than Wynn Macau. Lisboa on the other hand is a much older hotel casino with low ceilings and a haven for smokers.
