Good points Subin. This article is so vague and general, but keep GM foods out and award Equatorial and Southern Africa one HUGE carbon asset/debit, compared to the Amazon deforestation.

Dear sir, please poverty is not an easy thing to remove. first, education esp., basic education must be upgraded for farmers. second, new techniques must be introduced from the environment, not copying. third, farming alone will'nt be successful, but extra income from plantation in the side of the farm/mango trees in the corner will fetch them income. house wives must be educated to create any product from the resources from environment. fourth, marketing must be undertaken by one group. fifth, govt must provide subsidies and be strict to get back what's invested. sixth, loans must be provided to housewives only. seventh, inspection team must be strict. eigth, microfinance must be done.
