Some conservationists accuse the U.S. presidential race of paying too little attention to global 
warming, but the head of the U.N. Climate Panel reckons there will be a lot more focus once Democrats and the Republicans have picked candidates for the November election.
“My feeling is that all this will come out much stronger when you have clear front runners in the race,” Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change told me, as New Hampshire voters prepared to vote in a primary.
”At this moment the race is pretty murky.”
“Once you have two candidates I think these questions will have to be answered… with more urgency and greater clarity,” Pachauri, an Indian citizen, said on a visit to Oslo.
A report by the panel, which shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, said world emissions of greenhouse gases will have to peak by 2015 and then fall sharply to avert the worst impacts of rising temperatures such as heatwaves, droughts and rising seas.
The U.S. League of Conservation Voters, which calls climate change the biggest challenge to the world, says that five leading TV political journalists mentioned “global warming” or “climate change” only three times in 2,275 questions posed to the leading candidates in 120 interviews and debates in 2007.
At the same time, the League says candidates have been quizzed on issues such as UFOs and baseball.
Asked if he has a favourite to win the presidency, Pachauri said: “I do have favourites, I do have preferences; maybe it’s time to have a woman president.”
Is Pachauri right? Will there be more focus on global warming later in the campaign?

When there are reports of the temperature going up in this city or that city, or when someone says the ice is thinner on this lake in Greenland, it is overcomplicating things. We don’t need to guess if the temperature is going up. The ENTIRE Earth’s temperature is measured every 3 days by satellite. The temperature has not risen at all since 1998. You can get the data from NASA if you want. None. It is as if a person went into their doctor and said “I think I have a fever, I woke up in a sweat.” The doctor takes their temperature and it is normal. Three days later they are back saying, “I think I’m warm, my skin is drying.” The doctor takes their temperature and again it is normal. That person can go to the doctor as often as they want with any reason, but if the thermometer says their temperature is normal, it is normal. The point is that all these little stories about penguins drowning or Paris having a warm winter sell papers and keep so called scientists employed. It doesn’t matter. Factual data shows the truth. Anything else is junk science.

IPCC computer models are nothing but curve fitting routines built around unproven ASSUMPTIONS. They tweaked their correlation coefficients until they were able to get a curve that matched. I can do exactly the same thing with ANY set of data with a polynomial and someone to pay me gobs of money to study the ‘problem’.
They have ZERO physical evidence to support the claim that the minuscule, (see termite fact above), addition of human CO2 does ANYTHING to affect our climate at all - nada. It really is leftist BUNK. Senator Inhofe has this fraud dead in his sites and I congratulate him!

Gore buys his “Carbon Offsets” through ‘Generation Investment Management.’ Gore helped found ‘Generation Investment Management’, through which he and others pay for offsets. The firm invests the money in solar, wind and other projects that supposedly help reduce energy consumption around the globe…
Gore is also Chairman of the firm and draws an income, makes money as its “Offsets Selling” investments prosper. In other words, he “buys” his own “carbon offsets” from himself, through a transaction designed to boost his own investments and return a profit to himself. To be blunt, Gore doesn’t buy “carbon offsets” through ‘Generation Investment Management’ - he buys himself stocks.

Since 1895, the media has alternated between global cooling and warming scares during four separate and sometimes overlapping time periods. From 1895 until the 1930’s the media peddled a coming ice age.
Advocates of alarm-ism have grown increasingly desperate to try to convince the public that global warming is the greatest issue of our generation. Last year, the vice president of London’s Royal Society sent a chilling letter to the media encouraging them to stifle the voices of scientists skeptical of climate alarm ism.
During the past year, the American people have been served up an unprecedented parade of environmental alarmism by the media and entertainment industry, which link every possible weather event to global warming. The year of 2006 saw many major organs of the media dismiss any pretense of balance and objectivity on climate change coverage and instead crossed squarely into global warming advocacy.

The main, root cause, issues of the 2008 that none of the candidates is talking about (except for Ron Paul) are the following:
1) the united states debt of $9.2 Trillion
2) the unfunded liabilities totaling $60 Trillion (U.S. Government Accountability Office (U.S. GAO))
3) the monetization of debt (that is, making money out of thin air - Freedom Force International - Welcome)
Unless your candidate talks about these root-cause issues, they are just spouting empty rhetoric.
Please research these issues and the CFR, and how the CFR is selling the US out to the international bankers.

The blueprint President Bush is following was laid out in a 2005 report entitled “Building a North American Community” published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
