As Jennie say it above, we may not reach any treaty no matter what is the current pressure. The energy consumption and so the reject of carbon dioxide is linked to our own consumption and especially the one of the developed countries. Do American need to have 240 million car !! Do China need 240 million car in 2020, yes of course. Government and US first try to relaunch the growth, please consume more, provide profit for our companies but of course forget that behind you will contribute to long term climate issues.
All in all unless citizens become responsible in the way that they check what they buy and for that i would say we have to help them : why don’t we create such as ISO a label for every product according to the emission required to produce it.
We can’t live in hope, we need to think and act. Anyone can do it.
