I think the most important observation is this:

“…as the Graham-Reid brouhaha reminds us, political winds often shift in surprising ways.”

I do not believe that a monstrous bill that is flawed to the point of doing more harm than good, (“it would block states from enforcing more aggressive climate policies and the EPA from regulating greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act”) is worth fighting for.

In fact, if tradition is any indicator, particularly the slow-motion ACES disaster, the leaked Senate draft will be made weaker and more harmful before it reaches the floor.

We need to fight for what will work. When a doctor brings you a poisonous snake instead of an antidote, you don’t take the snake just because the doctor is giving it to you.

At that point, I’d rather take my chances running out of that hospital and down the street, hoping that the fates blew an opportunity my way.

Every gain we make will be negated by more people using up resources and generating more CO2. Over population is behind every threat we face – from over fishing, deforestation to pollution. WHEN is the world going to wake up? We endlessly discuss treating the symptoms and not the disease.

There has never been a better time for us to come together and make some real progress . And even if we do it could be to little to late . If we don’t stop our
childish bantering and get to work like adults , Heaven help us .

Will people not be able to out run a couple inches a decade?
