Gotthardbahn, there is anger and bitterness in your voice. Emotions can cloud one's thinking process preventing sound judgment. If you do not trust the work of the IPCC then I suggest you review the voluminous work of Revell and Keeling before you continue on any further in your attacks upon the credibility of others. Scripps Atmospheric and Oceanographic Institute is where they both began their quest to find out whether the planet is warming or not over 50 years ago. If you don't know who Revell or Keeling are than have a chat with a first year college chemistry student.

Think4499: I wrote it all by myself. Fancy that!

Mr. Harper was successful in keeping this climate change rubbish off the G20 agenda because the climate change ship has foundered, quite literally. (You might want to look up that word, founder. It means to fill with water and sink.) For your information, sometime in the next few weeks, British scientist Mike Ulmer, one of the lead authors of this IPCC report you so grandly invoke and also the head of the climate research office at the University of East Anglia (Ground zero for Climategate, in case you haven't heard), will be publishing an article in which he states quite clearly that this alleged consensus of 2500 scientists agreeing that global warming is caused by humans is actually the consensus view of no more than a 'couple of dozen' scientists at most, in his words. At this time, too, the Royal Society of England - you've probably never heard of them - now claims, despite years of stating precisely the opposite, that the science of global warming is, in their words, 'not settled'. What part of that do you not understand? Other scientists associated with this global warming fraud, including the head of the IPCC itself, Dr. Pachuri, are disassociating themselves from the dogmatic rubbish you've displayed in your post. That's where the real debate is nowadays - just how much of a fraud this climate change thing is and how ill-informed the average person can be. As you have demonstrated so well.

Well done, Gotthardbahn. Did you copy and paste that in all by yourself?

Instead of attacking individuals, why don't you take a look at the actual climate science and Canada's lack of movement on this important issue?

Check out the IPCC report if you want to educate yourself about climate change http://www.ipcc.ch/.

Global warming is real. Global warming is caused by greenhouse gas emissions. There is no scientific debate on these two points: only political debate.

Dr. David Suzuki has to rank as one the biggest frauds ever to emerge from Canada, a mountebank on a par with Al Gore, the so-called 'ozone man'. Pay heed to neither of these charlatans, as they are interested only in enriching themselves at your expense.

"If the international heads of state assembled in Toronto this weekend for the Group of 20 nations summit could have a conversation with their great grandchildren at the end of this century, they would surely tell them that shaving a fraction off the rate of short-term GDP growth is a mere pittance to pay in return for what will be gained by addressing climate change once and for all."

In this age of instant gratification, you expect our politicians (any nation) to risk their political ambitions for the chance of leaving a legacy to their grandchildren? Very noble gesture, Mr. Suzuki, but not workable, unfortunately.
