Water security for whom? Water and security in the Middle East

Water is essential for life.  This is a basic premise underlying the water discourse in all arid and semi-arid regions.  Nowhere is this perception better acknowledged than the water-scarce Middle East.

      "Eran Feitelson is a professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. A previous chair of the Department of Geography, he was head of the Federmann School of Public Policy and Government from 2004 to 2009. Recently he was named as head of the new Advanced School for Environmental Studies. He holds an MA in geography and economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Ph.D from the Johns Hopkins University. He has published extensively on environmental policy, transport policy, environmental planning, and water policy issues."
