I don’t think films such as this constitute legitimate criticism. As one leading Dutch Jew pionted out, if this film had been made about HIS community, Wilders would be behind bars by now. But I largely agree with Tariq with regards to the preferred Muslim response.

It would be prudent for Mr. Ramadan to share his views and offer advice to Muslims here, be more vocal in dealing with these sorts of criticism and assaults on their religion. Religion is closely held by all people, rooted in their character, which is why it becomes so personal. Because many Muslims here suffer and have suffered various forms of discrimination over the years Wilders’ opinions merely rub salt into an already open wound.

That being said, it is time for the Dutch to step up to the plate and do more to bring an end to discrimination, which will help the wounds begin to heal and bring some sense of unity to this country.

Islam should not be above criticism, no religion should and Muslim treatment of non-Muslims in Muslim-dominated areas really needs to be discussed openly as it is a travesty what is happening to these poor people who live in constant fear.
Muslims have to learn how to take criticism w/o having hissy fits and slitting throats!!!
Enough, we are sick of it!
