Spain’s “God vs no-God” bus ad duel

January 21, 2009

An old joke in the advertising industry quotes the head of a large corporation complaining, “I know that half of our advertising budget is wasted, but I don’t know which half.” That came to mind when I saw that our photographers in Spain have been out shooting the “God bus” duel in Madrid and Barcelona. I wonder if either side thinks half its budget is wasted.

Dear Albert Gea:
just wanted you to know that there is a photo contest online and I voted for your coverage of the bridal show in barcelona. I was shocked to find afterward that your photo wasn’t garnering the votes I thought it would. Your initial pic of the three in white from behind led me to surf something I would otherwise never have bothered with. Outstanding photography!
