Mark 13:32-33 says of Christ's return: 'No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.'

Oh, now I see why so many think the Bible gets it wrong,...when it doesn't.

There is still important work for Harold Camping. His calculations are desperately needed by the Young Earth theorists. Although widely ridiculed, this theory simply needs a few adjustments of the sort in which Rev Camping specializes. Then, voilå! Young Earth will make sense.

Similarly, Rev Camping is needed by believers in the Ark story. Creationists need someone to explain how Noah got the penguins on the Ark. And the bears. And the dinosaurs. And how Noah kept the dinosaurs from eating all the other animals. Do you see?

Much good work remains to be done -- and Harold Camping is just the one to do it!

While it is evident in Biblical interpretation that a few numbers ((like 7) can signify something, it does not allow for the manner of numerical contrivances and eschatological extrapolation behind Camping's conclusions. Eschatology itself is overall an area in which defies being so dogmatic, while no doctrine has been derived using Camping's methodological manipulation.

He has

flagrantly taken the name of God in vain by claiming God revealed the rapture would occur on May 21,

and given occasion for the name of Christ to be blasphemed among the heathen,

and placed a stumbling block before the simple who heeded him,

and seduced them into loss of substantial amounts of time and money

and seriously impugned the integrity of the Bible and prophecy among the ignorant public by asserting it guaranteed his false prediction,

and has made a mockery of Biblical hermeneutics with his any-digit-will-do methodological madness,

while also teaching heresies such as that Jesus died twice,

and denying eternal torment,

and the nature of the church and its preservation,

and damning all who are in the visible church

while making those who agree with him to be the elite enlightened, etc. (see http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/Camping.html)

Certainly we all have erred and dishonor the Lord by our sins and failings daily, for we which we must repent, but this man has impenitently, willfully and boldly gone to extremes few have gone to before, with his erroneous esoteric eschatology and egregious elitism and other falsities, and made disciples of the same (Camping's cult), and effectively has served as an instrument of the devil who is the author of deception.

People really need to learn from this. If Jesus ever existed at all he will not be returning from the dead. THAT is why nothing happened May 21st and why nothing will continue to happen. The world will go on just as it does. Anyone who believes that Jesus will return is just as delusional as Campings followers. It's just that most people who believe won't risk putting a date on it and prove to the world just how crazy they really are.

Big time news people.....which one is it "Fitzpatrick" or "Fitzgerald?"

As he stood in Times Square in New York surrounded by onlookers, Fitzpatrick, 60, carried a Bible and handed out leaflets as he waited for Judgment Day to begin. By his own reading of Bible, which was slightly different than Camping’s, Fitzgerald expected the great worldwide event to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

You know the best part of all is with this clown? He says the rapture was to happen, but it did not. He says there is no plan B. But here is the deal. I finally got on the sight, and guess what? For someone who is not supposed to be here, he has no problem still accepting donations. Harold Camping, it is bad enough that we have to put up with scams in the business world. Now we have to put up with more the same with religious fools like you? I am a Christian, and have been all of my adult life, but here is the deal. I do not run around and tell the world delusional non-facts that are not even biblically sound. You rant and rave about your skewed beliefs, and the rest of the good Christians have to be clumped into the same mix as idiots like you. Shame on you "False Profit" The Bible I read actually warms me about people like you. You do not represent the God I serve and Love... You are nothing but a senile old man who really needs to just go away. Do you know what you have in common with Cicada's? You both come out every 17 years, and make a bunch of irritating noise. I hope your church ask for their money back, and you give it back... and save whatever shred of decency you have left.
