The history and the culture of our nation does. Indeed the world. So it is not the place of a particular Government to hijack it, swayed by gay pressure groups. The petition against same sex marriage www.c4m.org.uk has now reached over 120,000 signatures in 2 weeks. And the consultation has not even opened yet. Church is not claiming to own marriage.
