Love in the time of the Internet — but will it last?

lovers.jpgIt’s a true modern romance — but will it last longer than a YouTube video?  A New York Web designer spots the girl of his dreams across a crowded train on Sunday night, loses her in the crowd, then sets up a Web site to track her down – nygirlofmydreams.com – and by Tuesday evening,  in a city of 8 million people, he finds her.  By Friday  Patrick Moberg, 21, and Australian magazine intern  Camille Hayton, 22, were on the TV, appearing on ABC’s GMA show, talking about their romance. They said they “clicked” over a coffee on Thursday night.  But New Yorkers, a cynical bunch at best, weren’t all convinced. Was the story true — and do  they have any chance of making it work with their romance now in the public spotlight? Have your say.

One comment so far

Belinda, I am shocked that a boy makes a website about finding someone on the subway and it makes headline news and front page of Yahoo and other websites while my family and I try to spread the word of our website to help others and nothing. Chris Morency
