“Idol” Ramiele Malubay finally cries over herself

On Wednesday night’s “American Idol,” the diminutive diva finally got the chance to shed tears for herself after being summarily booted from the singing competition.

During the course of her run on “Idol,” 20-year-old Malubay was known as much for her uncontrollable weeping over the dismissal of rival contestants as for her powerful voice. Three weeks ago, the emotional Floridian even dedicated her performance of the Beatles’ “In My Life” to her friends who had already left the show.

On Wednesday, Malubay’s tears flowed again — but this time after host Ryan Seacrest delivered the news that her stint on “Idol” had come to a close. Even before news of her departure, Malubay seemed to be readying herself for the chopping block, barely cracking a smile during the hour-long show.

In the end, Malubay fought back her sobs and rallied for the final humiliation “Idol” demands of all its rejected contestants — one last performance of the song that lead to her ejection, Dolly Parton’s “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind.”

The night was also emotional for Malubay’s fans.

On the “Idol” forums, one wrote: “I just balled my eyes out”

Surprised she lasted this long. Her overacting and weak voice finally caught up with her. BTW, what race are you guys talking about? funny how you guys have to make it this dramatic. When i work hard, am i doing it for my race? I am a Filipino also but never thought that race was an issue. hehehe. Its talent my friend.

She is a beautiful lady, and I think she has already won fame and glory. From this moment and on she will be a super star.

Now that ramiele was voted off from AI, we don’t like to watch the remaining AI season 7 anymore. this girl though an amateur compared to the other professional contestants, has talent, charisma and good attitude. she should have stayed for a few more weeks.

I liked the girl, but she just cried too much. I don’t know if it was a fake or not. She just cried too much though. She cries about everything. I think if I asked her to cry she could do it right now. Shes cute, the talent is o.k. but I am so definitely done with the weeps and balling she had. I have never seen a pinay cry so much, it was like something bad happened in the family. Thank goodness she is out. If she didn’t cry so much I think she would be more liked.

I enjoyed Ramiele and hated to see her get booted. I won’t watch the rest of the season now. But, I know she can go beyond American Idol.
